HONG KONG & MACAU – A Beginner’s Travel Guide: 5-Day Itinerary and Budget

hkmacau

I thought I could last without traveling but I keep falling under its spell! This time, I blame it on Hong Kong and Macau. This was my boyfriend and I’s first international trip together. I’ve already been to Hong Kong last 2012 but  I really didn’t do much then except going to the markets and Ocean Park. It didn’t give a lasting impression on me so I never had the intention of going back. However, I’ve been longing to visit a Disneyland Resort so I could turn my childhood dream into a reality. I decided to go to the one in Hong Kong which is the most accessible from the Philippines. I figured that I might as well include Macau since it’s only an hour away from Hong Kong via ferry. I’m glad I went back to Hong Kong because it was sweeter to me the second time around!

Last summer, I took a spontaneous vacation for a week with my best friends of more than a decade, Espee and Lea. It involved 2 days in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia; 2 days in Yogyakarta, Indonesia; and 3 days in Jakarta, Indonesia. Our original plan was simply a domestic trip before Espee leaves for school abroad. But one day, we just went all YOLO and had a spur-of-the-moment decision. A week later, we found ourselves in the countries of Malaysia and Indonesia.

SOUTH KOREA – 2 Days in Busan: What to Do, See, Eat

2016-03-24-01.01.30-5.jpg.jpeg

My trip to South Korea with my high school friend, Mon, involved 11 days of touring Seoul (with day trips to Paju, Anyang, and Gapyeong), Danyang, Busan, and Jeju. Our third stop was in Busan which is the second largest city in the country. The world’s biggest department store, Shinsegae Centum City, is also located here. Busan is recommended for travelers who prefer a laid-back, more affordable, and less crowded version of Seoul.

SOUTH KOREA – 4 Days in Seoul: What to Do, See, Eat (+ GIVEAWAY!)

Processed with VSCO

My trip to South Korea with my high school friend, Mon, involved 11 days of touring Seoul (with day trips to Paju, Anyang, and Gapyeong), Danyang, Busan, and Jeju. Our first stop was in Seoul which is the country’s capital and largest city. I loved exploring Seoul because the tourist destinations are accessible via subway which granted us a hassle-free experience to shop until the wee hours, eat street food and other delicacies, and immerse in Korean culture.

NEGROS OCCIDENTAL – Perth Paradise Resort: To Infinity and Beyond

wp-1487238062692.jpeg

Last January, I went to Visayas with my friends to tour Dumaguete, Siquijor, Bacolod, and Iloilo in particular. However, I had a different flight itinerary because I booked later than them on Cebu Pacific Air. My flight was unfortunately delayed for 3 hours due to overbooking issues. In lieu of the delay, they provided me a free domestic round trip ticket valid for 6 months. Thus, I was able to fly to Bacolod for free which was my gateway to Perth Paradise Resort. “Kaladkarin” people who are always game for anything are the best travel companions! That is why I could not be any happier when my bestfriend, Espee, accepted my short notice invitation to accompany me on a domestic trip.

My original plan was to visit Cagayan De Oro only for the sake of White Water Rafting but I found out that it is possible to do a side trip to Camiguin (and also Bukidnon if time permits) from my research prior to this trip. Little did I know that Camiguin would actually become our main trip instead of CDO. Continue reading
